Most people are surprised by how gentle acupuncture feels. The needles are extremely thin — much thinner than injection needles. You may feel a brief tingling, warmth, heaviness, or dull sensation, which is completely normal and often a sign the treatment is working.

Your first appointment typically includes:
A detailed health history discussion

Pulse and tongue assessment (traditional diagnostic methods)
Your first acupuncture treatment
Plan to spend about 90 minutes for your initial visit. Follow ups last 60 minutes.
